Terms & Conditions for Travelers with Roots Ghana

As a UK-based tour operator, we are dedicated to providing travelers from around the world with a safe, authentic, and unforgettable experience exploring Ghana’s rich culture, history, and natural beauty. Please review our Terms & Conditions carefully before booking your trip, as they outline important information about your rights, responsibilities, and the scope of our services.

Our Mission:

Roots Ghana organizes immersive tours and bespoke travel experiences designed to broaden horizons, deliver adventure, cultural insights, history, relaxation, and fun—all tailored with your safety and satisfaction at heart.

Contract & Booking:

By confirming your reservation with Roots Ghana, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, which form the legal basis of your contract with us. Please ensure you read and understand these terms before booking. Your booking confirms your acceptance of all provisions herein, including liability waivers and dispute resolution clauses.

Travel Documentation & Identification:

All travelers must use their full legal name as it appears on their passport. It is your responsibility to carry valid travel documents, including visas, vaccinations, and any other requirements for entry into Ghana. We strongly recommend checking UK and Ghanaian government travel advisories and entry requirements well in advance.

Payments & Cancellations:

Reservations can be paid in full at the time of booking, subject to availability. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable due to contractual commitments with our suppliers in Ghana. Late payments may incur fees. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@rootsghana.com. Refunds are generally not available, but travel insurance with cancellation coverage is highly recommended.

Travel & Health Precautions:

Traveling to Ghana involves inherent risks, including health considerations such as COVID-19. By booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree to adhere to all health and safety protocols, including vaccination, testing, and quarantine requirements. We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations and health emergencies.

COVID-19 & Travel Safety:

Plans may be affected by COVID-19 restrictions, closures, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to inform travelers of any changes, but travelers accept the inherent risks of travel during these times. You agree to release Roots Ghana from liability related to COVID-19 or other health issues arising during your trip.

Liability & Responsibility:

Roots Ghana acts solely as an agent for third-party suppliers providing accommodations, activities, and transportation in Ghana. We do not control or own these services and are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from their provision. Travelers are responsible for complying with local laws, health regulations, and safety instructions.

Itinerary Changes & Cancellations:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, including weather, political events, or site closures, itineraries may be modified. We reserve the right to make necessary changes for your safety and enjoyment. If a tour is canceled due to low participation or other reasons, a full refund or alternative arrangements will be offered.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution:

These Terms & Conditions are governed by UK law. Any disputes arising from your booking will be resolved in UK courts, with acknowledgment of jurisdiction in the UK.

Photographic & Video Consent:

Travelers consent to the use of photographs or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes by Roots Ghana without additional compensation.
