Accra city tour: The Independence Arch, is part of the Independence Square which contains monuments to Ghana’s independence struggle, including the Independence Arch, Black Star Gate, and the Liberation Day Monument

Early Morning Departure from Accra

Departure Time: Around 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM Grab a light breakfast/snack for the road. Drive west toward the Central Region via N1 or N4/N8 route.

Mid-Morning Cape Coast Castle Tour

Arrival Window: Late morning Tour the historic Cape Coast Castle, with its museum and the haunting "Door of No Return." Duration: ~1 hour

Late Morning Elmina Castle Tour

Short drive (~15–20 minutes) to Elmina Castle Explore this older and equally significant UNESCO site. Duration: ~1 hour

Early Afternoon

Drive to Kakum (~45 minutes from Elmina) Do the canopy walk, nature trail, and possibly a short guided forest tour. Duration: ~1–1.5 hours

Late Afternoon Begin Return to Accra

Start driving back to Accra by 4:00–5:00 PM to avoid night driving fatigue. Consider a brief roadside stop for snacks or dinner on the way.
