Itinerary:

Morning

6:30 AM – Depart from Accra to Cape Coast (approximately 3-hour drive). 9:30 AM – Arrive in Cape Coast and head straight to Cape Coast Castle.

Mid-Morning

9:45 AM – Tour Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about Ghana’s history of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. 11:00 AM – Spend about an hour exploring the dungeons, cannons, and the museum.

Late Morning

12:00 PM – Drive from Cape Coast to Elmina (about 45-minute journey). 12:45 PM – Arrive at Elmina Castle, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its historical significance.

Afternoon

1:00 PM – Tour Elmina Castle, exploring the slave dungeons, the Castle Museum, and the surrounding grounds. 2:30 PM – Enjoy a local lunch at a nearby restaurant, sampling Ghanaian dishes such as banku, tilapia, or fried fish.

Itinerary:

Morning

6:00 AM – Depart from Accra to Kakum National Park (approximately 3-hour drive). 9:00 AM – Arrive at Kakum National Park and prepare for your adventure.

9:15 AM – Take a guided walk through the rainforest canopy on the famous Kakum Canopy Walkway, one of the highest in Africa, offering spectacular views of the forest. 10:00 AM – Explore the nature trails and learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the park.

8:00 AM - Breakfast in Accra Start your day with a hearty breakfast at a local café or hotel in Accra. 9:00 AM - Depart for Aburi Drive from Accra to Aburi, which is approximately a 1.5-hour journey (about 45 km). 10:30 AM - Visit Aburi Botanical Gardens Explore the beautiful botanical gardens, known for its diverse plant species and serene environment. 12:00 PM - Travel to Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum Depart Aburi and head back towards Accra to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

Afternoon
